Over the last couple of weeks, countless pics from the set of Suicide Squad revealed what many fans believed to be most of the film's important plot points. Well, it isn't so, as director David Ayer has just revealed on Twitter.
Well we survived the streets. Time to go dark now. Remember, only the tiniest glimpse has been exposed. Our surprises are intact.

And we can take his word for granted, since the pics depicted only one set of the movie. An introduction of the entire Suicide Squad and several scenes with Harley Quinn, Joker and Batman - that is all. So the question still remains: what do we know about Suicide Squad so far?
Suicide Squad - team members
Obviously, this is the first thing that comes to mind. We know who the members of the Suicide Squad are, as well as who commands them.
Thus, we have Slipknot (Adam Beach), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Deadshot (Will Smith), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), and El Diablo (Jay Hernandez).
They are all in the employment of Amanda Waller, portrayed by Viola Davis.
On the next page, the villainous (and not heroic) villains of the movie!
Villains
While all the members of the Suicide Squad are villains, it is safe to assume that they will be sent after a bigger threat in, well, a suicide mission.
Of course, the plot is unknown at this moment. However, the strongest rumor to date is that the team will be pitted against a different team, called Onslaught. These are superpowered villains, led by a speedster called Antiphon.
Why is this the strongest possibility? Because David Ayer Twitted this pic, in which Onslaught is the primary antagonist. Furthermore, the first draft of the Suicide Squad script featured this opposing team.
On the next page, the already confirmed cameo! And it is not Batman!
Cameos
While it is believed that Gary Sinise will appear as General Eiling (who, in the comics, is responsible for the creation of Captain Atom) and thus paving the road for other superheroes to appear in the DCMU, there are other cameos which are interesting.
Obviously, you have all seen the pics with Batman chasing Harley Queen and Joker throughout Gotham. This is one of the major cameos of the film.
Another cameo is the one of Lex Luthor. An early rumor (which is yet to be debunked) said that the Suicide Squad will be sent to foil Lex's superhuman trafficking organization (with the squad sent to retrieve a kidnapped Enchantress). Obviously, if this happens, don't expect to see much of Jesse Eisenberg on screen.
And the rumor isn’t debunked. It is confirmed – in here!
On the next page, the Caped Crusader’s contribution!
Flashbacks
Since we have talked about the pics from the set, they do reveal something very interesting. Since Harley Queen is seen both with her makeup and without it, both chasing the Joker and being at his side, we can expect that the movie will depict the capture of both him and her.
Obviously, Batman will be the one to do that - although we cannot say the reason why he has given chase from the first place. But this is nonetheless a strong possibility.
On the next page, the Clown Prince of Crime and something about haste!
Joker
As it was expected, seeing the Joker for the first time, with makeup and everything that makes him an insanely beloved character, has raised many questions for the fans. Starting from the very weird (and in bad taste) tattoos that he has to the fact that Jared Leto has big shoes to fill, it is no surprise that the fans are being cautious with this current iteration.
Furthermore, the first draft of the script didn't see him in such an extensive role. So, obviously, there are rumors that (yet again) DC and Warner Bros are too in a hurry to present all their iconic characters.
Obviously, it doesn't pay to pass judgement even before a trailer has appeared. Still"¦ damaged?!?
On the next page, as a conclusion…
So what do we know about Suicide Squad?
Well, basically, nothing - we only know what the studio wanted us to know. And as we have seen with other major productions (especially in the superhero genre), seeing pics from a single set gives away nothing about the actual plot of the movie. Age of Ultron, Deadpool, Civil War, as well as some other movies have also shown action pieces from the set.
So if you believe that you know everything, at this point, about Suicide Squad, you are most likely mistaking. After all, all the pics we have all seen might just depict less than 5 minutes from the actual movies"¦
