Suicide Squad is Twitter’s most tweeted-about movie of the summer. And seeing that all of its trailers have been received so well by the fans, it isn't hard to understand why. The fact that it also has an all-star cast, and a more than talented director at the helm, doesn't hurt at all. Plus, Batman is in it.
So yes - even if it is just for the summer, Suicide Squad is the movie we’re waiting for.
The latest promotional materials for Suicide Squad are posters, including two new ones from international magazines. Also, since he will be in the movie as well, Ben Affleck is talking about his plans for the first solo Batman movie in the DCEU. Check it out - starting with the posters.
GB Posters, a website where you can find quite a few comic book movie posters, has just unveiled their most recent set of Suicide Squad maxi posters. Harley, Joker, and Deadshot are featured solo, but there are also images with the entire squad. The best-looking one is the last, as far as we are concerned:
Cinema Teaser (via CBM), a French publication, also features covers with the characters from the flick. As expected, all eyes are on the Joker, who is giving his best disrupting the order look. Also, from the second pic, you can guess which characters will be the most important (if you haven't realized that already)!
As far as Ben Affleck is concerned, his solo Batman movie will feature a host of villains from his rogues gallery. The most obvious question is: will the surviving Suicide Squad baddies be featured in the Batman flick, as well? Will it adapt the Arkham Asylum storyline?
Affleck says that he will borrow elements from certain storylines, without adapting any, in order to create an original film. According to him, he will do something similar to what Zack Snyder did in Batman v Superman.
