Zack Snyder's Justice League is less than nine months away from hitting the theaters, but Warner Bros. still wants us to believe that Superman is dead! So it makes sense that they haven't clarified whether any member of the Green Lantern Corps will appear in the upcoming superhero extravaganza.
However, film reporter Umberto Gonzalez reported that Justice League will definitely feature a Green Lantern character during the final moments of his latest Periscope video. But don't expect it to be Hal Jordan or John Stewart:
There is a Green Lantern in Justice League. I forgot how to pronounce him"¦I forgot the name of the Green Lantern in Justice League, so we’ll see. Hey, maybe by that time, they get to cast Hal Jordan, and next we’ll throw him in there too. Who knows?
When a fan asked if he were referring to Kilowog, Gonzalez responded in the negative:
I’ll give you a hint. It’s a funny sounding name. I’m like okay, better not cast Tyrese. It is confirmed that a Green Lantern will be in Justice League. I don’t want to give you the spoiler, obviously. But yes, there is a Green Lantern.
There are over 7,000 Green Lantern Corps members in DC Comics, and almost half of them have “funny sounding names”. So, the correspondent’s "hint" didn't help much.
It must be noted that this isn't the first time Gonzalez has suggested that a Green Lantern character would appear in the November 17, 2017 release. Last November, he reported that a member of the intergalactic military force would show up in "a key sequence" in Justice League.
