With more than three months remaining until its release, James Wan's Aquaman was recently screened and it seems like the sample audience enjoyed it.
The first official trailer for Aquaman arrived at San Diego Comic-Con International last month and made us all start anticipating its release later this year. However, considering the fact that several DC Extended Universe installments with top-notch trailers have proved to be rather underwhelming, we have kept our expectations in check. But now, it seems like we don't need to be too pessimistic about the first standalone movie for the King of the Seven Seas.
According to Collider's Steve Weintraub, a test screening for the upcoming DCEU installment was recently held in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California. And the reporter also suggests that the reaction that he has come across is quite positive. Check out his tweet below!

Omega Underground's Christopher Marc has also heard good things about Aquaman from the attendees of the test screening. However, they wouldn't go so far as to say that the movie is great. Here's the tweet for you!
I hear it’s good (not great) and that’s all we can hope for in the end. I’ll take it. pic.twitter.com/abrW3fEOgr

Geeks Worldwide EIC KC Walsh, judging from what he has learned, compares the James Wan flick to Phase 1 installments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Check out his tweet below!
#Aquaman is a phase 1 MCU film through and through, so if you liked those you'll love it, if you didn't you probably won't get much enjoyment out of Aquaman pic.twitter.com/ydH7XT1GK4

It must be noted that this isn't the first test screening for Aquaman that has taken place. The movie was screened back in February and the reactions from that screening were also positive. But of course, we can form our own opinion about the movie when it hits the theaters on December 21.
