Oscar Isaac Wanted by Warner Bros for a The Batman Role

In the past few years, Oscar Isaac has appeared in quite a few well-received movies. Obviously, the first role to come to mind is the one in the Star Wars movies. But he has also appeared in X-Men: Apocalypse, Ex Machina, and Annihilation.

Oscar Isaac has been almost always lauded for these kinds of roles. So, understandably, studios wants him. And, according to The Geeks WorldWide, Warner Bros is one of these studios.

The website reports that Oscar Isaac has already been approached and has already met with studio execs for a role in Matt Reeves' The Batman. Of course, the role hasn't been revealed.

However, the website reports that Matt Reeves is searching for an A-lister to portray the main antagonist of the reboot. Reportedly, this villain is the Penguin. So is it possible for Oscar Isaac to be eyed for such a role?

Besides playing the heroic Poe Dameron in the Star Wars movies, Isaac has appeared as the main antagonist of the last X-Men movie. Furthermore, his role in Ex Machina can easily be described as shady and villainous.

So he has certainly proved that he can play the bad guy.

As far as The Batman is concerned, the most recent reports say that it will start shooting in 2019's Spring. As far as Ben Affleck is concerned, for the moment he is on board just as a producer. His appearance in the film isn't excluded at the moment.

Returning to Oscar Isaac, the GWW implies that the actor may sign to portray the Penguin. However, given the way the Worlds of DC universe is being shaped, he could end up playing a character we have already seen on the big screens.
