Warner Bros. has already confirmed that Wonder Woman, one of their biggest movies of 2017, will have a big presence at San Diego Comic-Con International 2016. Stars from the movie, including Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, and Connie Nielsen, will attend Saturday presentations in Hall H, along with director Patty Jenkins.
But while there are still a few days to pass before Comic-Con kicks off, the studio hasn't paused their marketing for Wonder Woman. They have released four new images from the upcoming June 2, 2017 release via the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly.
These images offer new looks at Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. Two of the photos feature the titular superhero alone - in the first she is wielding her sword and brandishing her shield. In the second, she’s showing off her Bracelets of Submission.
In one of the other two photos, we see the lovebirds - Gal's Diana Prince and Chris Pine's Steve Trevor. The couple isn’t sharing an intimate moment in the photo; rather, they look to be having a slight tiff. And in the other, we see director Patty Jenkins talking to the lead actress, who is wearing her superhero costume. Check out the photos below!
These images aren't the first materials on Wonder Woman that the studio has released ahead of Comic-Con. They released the movie's first official synopsis a couple of days ago, which tends to suggest that the main antagonist is none other than Ares, the God of War.
They also announced that Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns penned the movie's script.
With Wonder Woman having wrapped up filming a couple of months ago, it wouldn't be too surprising if they were to release the first teaser trailer at SDCC. They did show us some footage from the movie earlier this year.
But whether they would want to launch the first teaser trailer a little more than 10 months ahead of the movie's release remains to be seen. What do you think, though?
