Justice League is set to be released in less than three months, and the studio is still keeping a number of details about the movie’s plot under wraps. Superman’s return is a major detail, but all we know is that he’ll appear in the film. We don't know how big his role will be, nor do we know how he’ll affect the outcome of the battle between the newly formed Justice League and Steppenwolf's forces.
If the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailers revealed everything (including the hidden villain, Doomsday), the studio has kept it safe and clean. This is despite the many (unofficial) teases and rumors spread by the movie’s stars, including Henry Cavill, who teased the appearance of Hal Jordan:
The most recent Reddit leak hints that Cavill wasn't necessarily trolling the fans. A subReddit dedicated to the band Imagine Dragons posted a pic that reveals that yet another superhero will join the Justice League ranks.
Check it out below:
Six Justice League members have been confirmed so far: Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Flash, Aquaman, and Superman, who’s waiting to be resurrected. So who is the seventh? Fans speculate that it might be Green Lantern, who was also a founding Justice League member.
However, this seventh superhero could also be Shazam!, the main character in the next DC Extended Universe movie to shoot (January and February 2018). Green Lantern Corps is still scheduled for a 2020 release date.
As far as we know, no actor has been named for Shazam! or Hal Jordan. So, if this leak can be believed, Warner Bros. really learned its lesson!
Justice League is scheduled to be released on the November 17, 2017. If we don't find out before that, the film will definitely show us whether a seventh superhero will join the League.
