Last week brought us our first palpable news about the Justice League. Besides the expected Everything is going to be ok, we also found out what the superheroes will wear. And, by far, the most interesting details concern Batman.
Justice League’s Dark Knight will wear multiple types of suits. The first one is the traditional one, which we’ve already seen. However, it’s been upgraded, to offer more protection. For example, it’s laced with armored plates underneath the carbon fiber weave of the suit, so Batman can stand a chance against the parademons.
Furthermore, an even more prominent change is visible on the gauntlets, which were designed to look like the ones a samurai would wear. Of course, they are more futuristic and more aggressive in their design.
The Justice League Batman will also have a new cowl. While we already knew that it offered him protection, as well as a means of communication, the new type of cowl will also have the technology to assist him in his crime-fighting duties.
Batman will also wear a tactical suit in Justice League. Basically, it’s the upgraded and more agile armored suit from Batman v Superman. The designers used the suit worn by Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson in GI Joe: Retaliation as inspiration. We’ve already caught a glimpse of it, in the first pic from the set of Justice League.
As far as we’re concerned, the tactical suit does bear a slight resemblance to the ones from the Arkham games.
In Batman v Superman we saw the Dark Knight doing his best to stay away from Doomsday. Does this new suit signal that in Justice League he’ll have a more active role in fighting parademons? Furthermore, is this Batman's way of turning into an actual tank? We actually don't want that; we’d rather that he used his ninja stealth and skills in order to defeat more powerful opponents.
This would be a better way to adapt the character.
