Justice League Movies Lighter than Batman v Superman!

Justice League movies will be lighter than Batman v Superman

It's no secret that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice serves as the setup for the DC Extended Universe, which already has a set of two Justice League movies scheduled for 2017 and 2019 release. While the one that hits the theaters today has been bashed by critics, primarily for being "too dark", the latter will unlikely amass similar criticism.

During a recent interview with IGN (via Comic Book), Zack and Deborah Snyder revealed that the Justice League movies won't be as dark and grim as Batman v Superman is, due to the presence of characters like Ezra Miller's Flash. Deborah Snyder says, “Justice League is a little bit lighter because of some of these characters. Flash tends to be more comedic.”

Zack Snyder seconds the statement of his wife and producing partner. He explains:

One of the things that lightens it is having Flash or having characters that are more optimistic. [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice] is, in particular, two characters that are sort of at a crisis of conscience, which sort of draws them together.

The couple also teased "a big and scary threat" for the November 17, 2017 release, but refrained from revealing the villain's identity.

While talking to Yahoo!, Zack Snyder revealed that Justice League will take cues from Akira Kurosawa's epic historical drama Seven Samurai. It will be none other than Ben Affleck's Batman who assembles the superheroes in a fashion similar to the 1954 flick! According to the director:

I'm getting ready to start Justice League on the 11th of April, so in like two weeks we start shooting, and it's an intense, awesome, and gigantic undertaking, because Bruce [Wayne] is having to go out and sort of Seven Samurai the Justice League together, which is fun.

Meanwhile, Amy Adams has confirmed to the website that her Lois Lane would be returning in Justice League. Jesse Eisenberg, however, couldn't confirm whether his Lex Luthor would appear in the movie.
