One year away from release, Zack Snyder's Justice League is the DCEU’s first real ensemble movie, featuring almost all of the founding team members (from the new 52). Officially, it’s known that Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman will be joined by Cyborg and Aquaman in the fight against Steppenwolf and his parademons.
Unofficially, however, the rumors say otherwise - that all of the founding members will be featured in the movie. Which means that we will get to see one of the Green Lanterns sooner than expected. The Wrap reports that one of the members of the Green Lantern Corps will appear in a key sequence in Justice League. And it makes sense, given the fact that the superheroes will fight against the minions of Darkseid.
At the same time, The Wrap also reports that Darkseid, who was expected to be the first villain encountered by the Justice League, will also appear during the film, in a flashback scene. Thus, he will be shown as he is fought and driven away from Earth by Atlanteans, Amazonians, and ancient humans.
Returning to the Justice League members, The Wrap also says that Cyborg will appear in different modes throughout the movie, including his battle mode, as seen in the Comic Con teaser trailer. But the website says that he will have a civilian persona, as well. Perhaps like you, we believe that this will steal something from the character, since in this way Cyborg won't have to struggle with the fact that he cannot integrate with the society.
What do you think about these rumors? We can bet that Darkseid will appear, and it makes sense to us that one of the Green Lanterns will assist in the fight against Steppenwolf.
