The Shakespearian Joker

This one is actually pretty old, since the actor revealed what he believes about the character just a couple of months after being announced. So, in his opinion, Joker is not just the villain. He is the embodiment of villainousness, a character which was shaped, over the years, to become the perfect portrayal of this trait.

In this way, the actor said about the Joker that he is a Shakespearian character, a beautiful disaster every actor would want to portray.

We’re not so certain about that – even he has some very big shoes to fit. And even if it wasn’t so, this would still mark the third portrayal, which is a bit too much.
