How DC Solo Movies Connect To Justice League

Justice League

Among the ten DC Cinematic Universe ventures scheduled to be released until 2020, Justice League - Part One and Part Two are the biggest names - just like The Avengers movies are the biggest ones in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It isn't anything new to us that movies belonging to the same cinematic universe are interconnected to some level – so it shouldn't be surprising at all if DC Cinematic Universe ventures are consistent to each other.

Words from the director of Man of Steel and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Zack Snyder, published recently on the latest issue of Empire Magazine offer us a better understanding to the nature of the connections among the upcoming DC movies. According to Zack, it is the Justice League that is at the centre and all other the other solo movies are placed with a direct connection to the event. Here's what he said (via ComicBookMovie):

Justice League
Justice League is at the center!

"What we are doing is ground up all the way. It is one giant story. The first thing we had was the Justice League concept. The other movies, in a way, have to support that. That is our Wonder Woman, our Aquaman. They have their own creative concepts that supports them, but they do serve Justice League in the coming together of those heroes.

BVS producer terms DC Cinematic Universe as "˜the sandbox'! Hit 2 to learn in details!

DC Cinematic Universe Is The Sandbox!

Sandbox
This is what DC Cinematic Universe is, according to BVS producer!

One of the producers of Batman V Superman, Charles Roven has found an interesting name to describe the DC Cinematic Universe. The term is "˜the sandbox'! According to Roven:

"We call it the sandbox. It has borders around it, but everybody gets to play in the sandbox. On Suicide Squad, David Ayer has a lot of specific control over his area of the sandbox. Even if he crosses the line a little bit, we see if we can push our boundaries back a little bit.

After watching the first official trailer of Suicide Squad, it definitely seems David Ayer will "˜cross the line' at least to some extent! Meanwhile, the other producer of the upcoming DC movie, Deborah Snyder (who is also the wife of Zack Snyder), depicted their cinematic universe as "˜kind of a timeline of what every movie is, where it is going, and where the films fit in relation to each other'. Well, I won't be surprised if someone from Marvel uses similar words to describe the MCU (or have I already heard something very alike from them?)!

Marvel Vs DC
Haven’t we got similar descriptions for MCU & DCCU?

Zack Snyder – who can also be termed as the spearhead of the DC Cinematic Universe - claimed that the directors of all the solo movies have been provided ample space to "˜stretch their legs and do what they want'. However, he also said that those directors have to keep in mind that there's "˜a big interconnected universe'. Zack added:

"I have given everyone amazing access to our story, to me, and what we are doing. All the films have like minded conceptual jumping on points.

Hit 3 to learn what has inspired the designs of Batmobile, BatCave & Batwing!

What Has Inspired Batmobile, BatCave & Batwing Designs?

Batmobile
It is inspired by Justice League!

The answer to the above question is JUSTICE LEAGUE! No, it isn't what we have found out by ourselves - it is what the production designer for Batman V Superman Patrick Tatopoulos has stated! According to him (via ComicBookMovie):

"With The Justice League coming, it influences my designs of the Batcave, the Batmobile, the Batwing. We are creating a world for Batman – every set, every prop, is real. We have to be ready for what’s next.

And there's more interesting words that the production designer asserted. He claimed the newest version of Batmobile to be "˜very sexy looking' and also offered some details on it. Here's what Patrick said:

Batmobile
And it is ‘very sexy looking’!

"He is not driving a Formula 1 car, he’s driving a tank that is very sexy looking. Batman is rougher, tougher, and grungier. So everything is rough: the weapons, the suit and the car. There are machine guns mounted on the front. When you first see the Batmobile, it is being fixed. It is not – boom! – coming out of the garage brand new. It is scratched, damaged.

Seems like a different kind of sexy, this Batmobile, isn't it?
