While the Green Lantern Corps isn't due until 2020, the fans are eager to find out how Warner Bros. will bring this (hopefully) first installment to life. And that is because of how the previous Green Lantern flick worked out. Will the studio find the perfect balance between what the fans want and what the studio itself wants? It's hard to say, especially if we take into consideration the movies already released.
Until now, there were quite a few rumors about the Green Lantern Corps movie, most of them concerning the heroes. Thus, Tyrese, David Ramsay, Dan Amboyer, and even Chris Pine have been rumored to become the human exponents of the Corps. And some of these rumors have been debunked.
However, a new one is circulating the web. But, this time, the rumor concerns the villain. According to these rumors, Warner Bros. will once again bring Sinestro to life. And it’s understandable - he’s the most recognizable of all Green Lantern villains, and he was, by far, the best part of the 2011 movie.
Does this mean that we are heading towards a Sinestro Corps War? It seems so, especially since this particular storyline involves multiple Green Lanterns originated from Earth. And the oldest rumor, appearing as soon as the Green Lantern Corps was announced, is that Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, John Stewart, and Kyle Rayner will all be featured in the movie.
This isn't all, though. According to Screen Geeks, Warner Bros. is already considering an actor for the role of Sinestro. And while Mark Strong was a great villain, the studio (apparently) has its eyes on Luke Evans. He is English, so he will be a good villain. Furthermore, his star has been on the rise in the past couple of years, even if he isn't such a great actor.
You can check out an impressive art piece from Boss Logic, featuring Luke Evans as Sinestro (he looks awesome).
