Gotham City Sirens: New Catwoman?

The Gotham City Sirens Suicide Squad spin-off was announced about seven months ago, but we haven't heard much about it since. We do know that Margot Robbie will reprise her role as Harley Quinn, Catwoman and Poison Ivy will appear, and David Ayer will direct (after dropping out of Suicide Squad 2). Also, the movie may be released in 2019.

Jared Leto wasn’t ready to divulge whether he'll appear in the film, and that’s about all we know so far. But we should pay attention to a new online rumor that could reveal who will play the new Catwoman.

Catwoman (DC Wikia)

Actress Eiza González has started following Geoff Johns, and the DC Extended Universe boss has responded in kind. The actress also posted pics on her Instagram account, both of which appeared to tease a comic book movie role.

One pic features what she calls her latest uniform, and it appears to be a Catwoman suit (without the mask). Check it out below, courtesy of the DC Cinematic Reddit community:

Of course, she could be teasing a role in Sony's Silver and Black. However, the second image (which has no hashtag) shows an impressive DC Comics collection:

Quite a collection

The Reddit community also shared that the actress has been visiting Warner Bros. quite a lot.

So is Eiza González our new Catwoman?

The actress starred in Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver, which has received great reviews. Her future as one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood looks bright. To be noted, she’s already won a role in Robert Rodriguez’s Alita: Battle Angel movie and another in an untitled Robert Zemeckis project slated for 2018.
