According to recent reports, Warner Bros. is set to release the final Justice League trailer sometime next week. The movie’s debut is less than two months away, so it’s no surprise that the studio is ready to tease us with some new footage. We’re hoping that the new trailer won't spoil Superman's return.
Batman News recently reported that the new trailer was screened at the National Association of Theater Owners Fall Summit. The website connected that screening with the speculation that the clip will be available online in a week or so.
Batman News further speculated that the Justice League trailer will accompany the release of Blade Runner 2049 on October 5. The Denis Villeneuve sequel, which has already received love from the critics, is also a Warner Bros. production. Given Blade Runner 2049’s reportedly huge budget, the studio might be trying to boost ticket sales with some fresh Justice League footage.
It would make sense for the final Justice League trailer to arrive with Blade Runner 2049, since the films appeal to similar audiences, despite the fact that the former is rated R.
The Batman News report could also have been hinting that the trailer will be shown at New York Comic Con. We’ve heard that DC Comics will present never-before-seen costumes and props from the upcoming film. So it does follow that Warner Bros. might be planning to give the movie a final push during Comic Con.
Of course, we should take all of this with a grain of salt, as the final trailer could drop before or after October 5.
Justice League will be released on November 17, 2017.
