This is a never-ending story. And while some of us may be biased, there are some very legitimate reasons as to why DC could top Marvel after the new shared universe lifts off the ground.
Sure enough, Marvel is the one true king. How come? Because if it wasn't for Marvel and Kevin Feige to come with this idea of a shared universe, then"¦ Or is it so? Well, we can't know right now, because Marvel did it first.
But all kings must fall. And where are 3 reasons why DC will be the next one.

More iconic heroes

When Marvel started its shared universe, they started only with second-tier superheroes: Iron Man, Thor and Captain America. And they did so because the rights to the better known Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and X-Men were sold to other studios.
Sure enough, at this moment, everybody knows who the aforementioned characters are. And that is because Marvel has done such a great job in telling stories that connect with each other and building towards an epic conclusion. Sure enough, the characters were portrayed to perfection too "“ now, Tony Stark is Robert Downey Jr. and the other way around.
However, since DC hasn't sold any of its properties, their shared universe will start with their top tier superheroes: Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. Everybody knows what superheroes are in the DC Trinity and it can be expected that, with the right marketing campaign, even more will be attracted (obviously, if this is possible).
Furthermore, by securing the services of actors such as Ben Affleck, Jared Leto, Jesse Eisenberg, Dwayne The Rock Johnson, as well as others, DC seems to have a better start than Marvel did. DC's actors are better known and have better credentials.
