Black Adam Will Clash With Superman in DCEU

The Rock

While Black Adam is first awaited to arrive in 2019, when Shazam! will be released, we might just have a surprise coming our way. Dwayne The Rock Johnson has teased this before and now he's back at it - this time making it clear who will win during a fight between Black Adam and Superman.

And this is quite a move - is he really serious about such an encounter, or is he just trying to keep his character fresh in the minds of the fans?

Such a long tease

Just waiting
Just waiting

The Rock has been involved in bringing Black Adam to life more than any other actor with any other character that I may think of. Back when the DCEU was just a dream for the Warner Bros execs, in 2008, the actor was already teasing his appearance as the antihero.

Of course, this has led many fans to believe that he may end up portraying someone else - namely another fan-favorite anti-hero, Lobo. Only in 2014 it was all clear, when The Rock was announced to be the main antagonist Black Adam in 2019's Shazam!

But, as said, this isn't the first time when the actor teased his appearance in other movies besides Shazam! about half a year ago, the actor said something pretty interesting about Black Adam: he isn't supposed to be a straight up villain, but rather an anti-hero. And his story will begin thousands of years ago, when he was just a slave, before being empowered.

So, back in February, the actor said that the fans shouldn't be surprised seeing his character clash with any of the Justice League members - namely Superman or Batman: "It was all agreed that the worlds are all interconnected"¦ One day you will see Black Adam go at it with Superman or Batman or any of the DC characters. But that said, there's a great independence to Black Adam from the DC world, allowing us to inject, not only viciousness, but also winking humor." (via Cinema Blend)

An illegal blow

So, most recently, The Rock decided to remind his fans that he is Black Adam, the character he has been teasing for about a decade now.

Of course, this also means that Superman might pop up in Shazam, though we do doubt this - we have no reasons for this believe. Maybe we just wish to see Dwayne The Rock Johnson without any cape sooner than 2019. Check out the tweet below!

Pretty basic, right?

But what does that first hashtag mean? Well, there is an explanation, which would further show us that Black Adam is not your regular character. Check out the next page too!

A kick in the groins

Pretty effective move against the Man of Steel, right? Unless Superman has them made of real steel, than he might just kneel in front of Black Adam: “Black Adam Is Gonna Kick Superman Down In The Dick.

Twitter is funny when used by stars like The Rock!

And this might just be a finishing blow - or, at least, one that announces the end of the fight. As we know, Superman can hold his own against Black Adam, being vulnerable to magic - so a powerful blow in the groins will make him even more vulnerable?

But how it will all play out? Check out the next page!

When Shazam! replaced Black Adam

The awesomeness
The awesomeness

Over the course of the years, Black Adam has clashed a couple of times with Superman. Most recently, it has happened in the short Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam, where an exiled Black Adam returned to Earth to rule again.

2019's movie may take its cues from this animation. However, if Black Adam will indeed appear sooner than that (like some of us hope), where do you think that will be?
