Ben Affleck makes his debut as the new Batman in next year's Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and we already know he'll reprise the role in the other DC Cinematic Universe venture of the year – Suicide Squad. And we can pretty much assume that he'll appear as the Caped Crusader in a number of movies that Warner Bros and DC have scheduled for release until 2020.
But a rumor has been prevailing for the last few months that they might add another movie to their slot - a Batman solo movie starring Ben Affleck. We've also heard that he might helm the movie as well.
And Affleck, in a recent interview - has shared that he accepted the offer to play Batman because of his desire to direct a superhero movie in future. That statement also seems to indicate that if he's offered to helm a Batman solo, he would undoubtedly grab it.
Now, Deadline – which is indeed a very reliable source - reports that 42-year-old Oscar winning multi-talented celebrity will co-write, direct and star in the Batman solo movie!

Affleck & Geoff Johns To Write The Script!
According to the report, Ben Affleck will co-write the script for the Batman solo movie along with Geoff Johns - the chief creative officer at DC Comics. Apart from writing a variety of comic book series including Batman, Justice League, Green Lantern, Aquaman, etc., Johns has also written scripts for DC superhero TV series Arrow, The Flash and this fall's debutant Supergirl.

The sources of the site claim that the two are "˜well in synch and have more than found their rhythm'. They are likely to get the script completed before the end of the summer, since Affleck will have to move in November to direct Live By Night. The Batman solo movie will kick-off its filming after Affleck has wrapped up filming of his adaptation of the Dennis Lehane novel. The site also suggests that the plot of the movie would "˜reflect the Batman character that emerges after Batman V Superman and Justice League'.
