With just a week and a day remaining before Suicide Squad rolls into theaters, we have come across some really BIG SPOILERS for the movie! An official cast list for the David Ayer flick has surfaced on the web. It reveals that Ben Affleck's Batman won’t be the only Justice League member to appear in the movie.
The superhero who is set to appear in Suicide Squad is the one who is joining the Justice League just because he NEEDS FRIENDS! Yes, it's Ezra Miller's Barry Allen, aka The Flash!
The cast list is "in order of appearance" in the August 5 release, and the Scarlet Speedster is listed right after Jai Courtney's Boomerang. That means that The Flash will appear not long after Boomerang makes his debut on screen.
A theory popped up on the web a few days back suggesting that Ezra Miller's character would appear in Suicide Squad. The theory wasn't backed by very strong evidence - just two screenshots. One was captured from one of the Suicide Squad trailers, while the other was captured from the Comic-Con trailer for Justice League.
The shot from the Suicide Squad trailer features Boomerang standing in front of some lightning bolts that appear to be very similar to those surrounding The Flash in the Justice League trailer. Check out the screenshots below (via Flickering Myth)!
This makes sense, considering the fact that Captain Boomerang is best known in the comic books as an adversary of The Flash.
It seems that Batman isn't the reason why Jai Courtney's character is behind bars in Suicide Squad. Rather, it's The Flash! It's most likely going to be a cameo in a flashback sequence in which the speedster catches the supervillain.
Apart from revealing Ezra Miller's appearance as The Flash, the cast list confirms the roles of a number of cast members, including Scott Eastwood and Ike Barinholtz.
