Amber Heard’s Mera in Justice League – Official First Look, Concept Art, and Sketch Released!

First look at Amber Heard as Mera from Justice League has surfaced on web!

Justice League may have wrapped up its filming in London last week, but there are some scenes that have yet to be filmed, and the production team has already moved to Iceland to get it done. While Ben Affleck and Jason Momoa have separately confirmed that they have scenes to shoot in the Nordic island country, the latest report suggested that Gal Gadot, Amber Heard, and Willem Dafoe are also filming there.

Since reports have claimed that they are filming these Justice League scenes in outdoor locations of Iceland, some of us kept our fingers crossed that we would, maybe from some photographer hiding around the set, get our first look at Heard as Mera. Well, we have been offered something even better!

Warner Bros., via IGN, has released the first official photo featuring Amber Heard in Mera's full costume. And that's not all! Along with the still, they have also dropped an early sketch and the final concept art for the Queen of Atlantis' outfit, both designed by Justice League costume designer Michael Wilkinson. You can check them out below!

This must be a relief for those of us who had been concerned about whether or not Heard would be able to keep the role of Mera. A few months ago, we came across a report suggesting that her costume fitting for the November 17, 2017 release was delayed as she had become "too skinny" for the part after losing around 20 pounds due to "overwhelming stress" surrounding her divorce from Johnny Depp.

But now, the 30-year-old actress is finally "camera-ready", and is looking pretty badass as Mera. While we will be introduced to the first live-action portrayal of the character in next year's Zack Snyder flick, we will likely have to wait until James Wan's Aquaman, which is scheduled for a July 27, 2018 release, to see her in a more significant role.
