In 2007, when the first Transformers movie debuted, the audiences had the chance to see a new trailer in the cinema, for the surprise movie Cloverfield. The trailer itself didn't reveal too much and it was all just for the thrills - that was the beginning of a successful viral campaign, courtesy of J. J. Abrams' genius. The history seems to be repeating itself this year, since Michael Bay's 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi also featured a surprise trailer for an even more surprising film.
The movie (and the trailer) stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead (A Good Day to Die Hard), John Goodman (The Big Lebowski) and John Gallagher Jr. (Jonah Hex) and its synopsis is the following: After a car accident, a young woman comes to in an underground cellar, where most of the action takes place. She fears she has been abducted by a survivalist, who tells her he saved her life and that a chemical attack has left the outside world uninhabitable. Uncertain what to believe, she decides she must escape, whatever dangers she may face outside.
Interesting, right? Well, it is more than that - the project may be called Valencia, but the trailer presents the movie as being called 10 Cloverfield Lane. And the trailer, pretty much like 8 years ago, doesn't show too much - a woman and a man are trapped inside of a cellar and she escapes, only to look terrified out the window and see something"¦ unbelievable, we guess?
Is this the Cloverfield sequel we have been waiting for? Apparently yes, since a number of website have said that J. J. Abrams himself confirmed that. Well, it hasn't appeared in a good resolution just yet - however, it was leaked online and it can be found below.
Pretty interesting, right? Unlike with the first movie, which saw its trailer debut 6 or so months before being released in the cinema, 10 Cloverfield Lane will be released in just 2 months, on the 11th of March 2016.
