Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 is the fifteenth movie in a successful franchise that we never expected to endure for that long and be loved by so many. But that’s what happened with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, we’re closing in on the end of the MCU’s first three phases with what will undoubtedly be one of the biggest comic book movie events ever.
Beyond this success, the fans still don’t enjoy the MCU as much as they enjoy Marvel comics, because Marvel Studios and Disney don't have rights to a number of the most important characters, including the Fantastic Four and the X-Men, and all of their secondary characters and villains. Many of the heroes who were sold throughout the "˜90s have returned (Daredevil, Iron Fist, Ant-Man, and others), and a deal was made for ownership of Spider-Man.

Recently, Kevin Feige discussed Hugh Jackman's Logan, and the actor’s assertion that he’d be available to return as Wolverine, but only if the mutant became an Avenger. Feige praised Jackman’s performance, and agreed that it would be great to see the Fox-owned characters in the MCU:
My goal is to replicate the experience that comic book fans have reading the books up on the screen, and we've been able to accomplish that beyond my wildest dreams over the last ten years. And certainly, including Spidey in Civil War, in the upcoming Infinity War, is yet another dream that I didn't even dare to talk about publicly, because I thought the odds of it were very slim. So, no plans beyond that for the few remaining characters that aren't already in the MCU, but never say never. Who knows what can happen in the future (via Screen Rant)?
At this point, we may be reading too much into this. However, Marvel Studios and Fox have already started working together on a couple of television series, and the studios do share some characters. We believe that plans have been set in motion, and the X-Men and the Fantastic Four will join the MCU superheroes sooner rather than later.
After all, Feige said that he couldn't speak publicly about the possibility of Spider-Man coming home until it actually happened. And now he’s talking about the X-Men and the Fantastic Four"¦
