Warner Bros. hired Rick Famuyiwa to replace Seth Grahame-Smith as The Flash movie's director back in June. A month later it was revealed that Kiersey Clemons, who portrayed Diggy in Famuyiwa's critically acclaimed Dope, had been cast as Iris West. But now that the director has departed from the project, many are concerned that the actress will follow in his footsteps.
But according to Variety's Justin Kroll, it is unlikely that Clemons would quit The Flash movie. The reason for the veteran correspondent’s assumption is that the actress has already shot a cameo as Iris West for Zack Snyder's Justice League. Check out his tweets below!
Also lot of you asking about Clemons, she did shoot a cameo in LEAGUE and has a deal to play Clemons, so she’s not going anywhere

Oops she has cameo to play Iris not Clemons, duh

Despite having filmed her first moments as Iris West, Kiersey Clemons may still end up leaving The Flash movie, and the DC Extended Universe, for good. Similar things have happened in the past in Hollywood with a director’s departure from a particular project.
Kroll suggests that if the actress and the studio eventually part ways, Snyder could simply remove the Iris West cameo from the final cut of Justice League. He cites Marc Webb's cutting Shailene Woodley's Mary Jane Watson from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as an example. Here's his tweet for you!
If she somehow did fall out, WB could just cut that scene since LEAGUE similar to when Sony cut Shailene’s scenes in SPIDEY

However, the Iris West cameo in Justice League might be significant to the movie's plot and it might be something Snyder can't get rid of. If that’s the case, they could hire another actress for the role and film the scene again during reshoots. They do have enough time to do so. But whether Clemons actually wants to leave the DCEU remains to be seen.
