Jessica Jones: First Look at David Tennant as Kilgrave!

For some of us, the first season of Netflix/Marvel's Jessica Jones was on a par with – or better than – the first season of Daredevil. This is despite the fact that the first season of Jessica Jones wasn't as action-packed as the other series, and its villain was in no way the superheroine’s equal in strength.

In fact, bringing Kilgrave - an even more delightful antagonist than Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin - to the small screen was Netflix’s ace in the hole. David Tennant nailed the role! So, for some, it was a huge letdown when Jessica Jones ended Kilgrave by snapping his neck at the end of the season. Basically, it meant that David Tennant wouldn’t appear in the dark corner of the MCU in the future.

But wait! He’s back! And there’s been plenty of online speculation about the circumstances around his return. Most recently, we’ve seen some leaked on-set pics that may give us a better understanding of how it will happen. Check it out below!

The new trailer, like the trailers for Season One, makes it obvious that Kilgrave is deep within Jones’ mind. And the fact that she defeated him physically doesn't mean that he went away. Kilgrave is still messing with her, as he’s messing with everyone else he’s previously influenced.

And what could be better than a continuation of the themes explored in the first season of Jessica Jones?

We don’t have a great deal of information about the series’ second season. We do know that Krysten Ritter will return in the starring role, along with Rachel Taylor (Trish Walker), Carrie-Ann Moss (Jeri Hogarth), Eka Darville (Malcolm Ducasse), and others.

Jessica Jones Season Two is expected to be released in 2018.
