Ian McKellen Confirms X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Absence!

The original X-Men trilogy – X-Men, X2 and The Last Stand – were the movies that presented the veteran actor Ian McKellen as Erik Lehnsherr, aka Magneto. Then, we came across the younger version of the character played by Michael Fassbender.

But last year’s massive blockbuster X-Men: Days of Future Past brought back McKellen’s older Magneto and many have been expecting since then to watch the 76 years old actor again playing the role in next year’s X-Men: Apocalypse.

We have had rumors about his appearance in the upcoming X-Men flick and his co-star and pal Patrick Stewart told in an interview earlier this year that McKellen would reprise his role. And now comes the confirmation from the actor himself – actually he isn’t playing Magneto in Apocalypse!

McKellen Hasn’t Even Heard That Rumor!

In a recent interview with Digital Spy, the veteran actor not only denied the chances of his appearance in the movie, but also claimed that he hasn’t heard any such rumor!
