Guardians of the Galaxy 2: Kurt Russell teases complicated “family story”

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is one of the most anticipated Marvel productions, but there are still eight months to wait for the movie’s release. Fans keep asking for the trailer, but James Gunn has made it clear that no matter how much we want the trailer sooner, everything has already been scheduled.

Maybe Marvel doesn’t want to overshadow the upcoming November release of Doctor Strange, hence the scarcity of details about the Guardians. However, to keep things moving, we do hear from the cast and the director quite often.

Chris Pratt gave away some details about his character, Peter Quill:

He had a hard time as a kid, and now he goes around space, making out with hot alien girls and just being a rogue and a bit of a jerk, and through teaming up with these guys, finds a higher purpose for himself.

Fans have a picture of the characters and the plot, but there are many details that I don’t see being revealed soon.

Kurt Russell, the big cast surprise of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 as Star Lord’s father (Ego The Living Planet), talked about the movie too. Nothing new, but in Russell’s words:

It's a very complex story and they really get into it. This is going to be one of the more"”probably for Marvel, it's more connected to human issues, family issues, parental issues and issues that sons and daughters have with their Moms and Dads and their family tree, where they come from. I just think it's going to be an interesting "” Peter's character in this one, he's got dilemmas and he's got decisions to make that are not just about whether to save that thing or that person. This is about finding out who you are, where you come from, and where you're going.

I would bet that these details will be revealed only when the movie hits the silver screen.
