Former Batman Takes On Spider-Man and Hulk!

Michael Keaton as Batman

Michael Keaton was the second actor to play Batman on big-screen and his incarnation of the superhero has been admired by majority of the fans – unlike that of George Clooney! The Oscar nominated actor had put on the cape and cowl for Tim Burton's Batman and Batman Returns of 1989 and 1992 respectively - both of which were critically acclaimed successes.

While Batman stands as one of the most popular superheroes from DC Comics, Spider-Man and Hulk are similar hot properties of Marvel Comics. But Michael Keaton holds his former NON-SUPERPOWERED superhero character a lot higher than the two SUPERPOWERED Marvel superheroes! That's what is suggested by his recent comments in two different events. Let's check out in details in the following segments what this former Batman had to say to make a Hulk fan or a Spider-Man fan feel OFFENDED!

Batman Would Beat Even The Incredible Hulk!

Michael Keaton shares screens with Mark Ruffalo – the actor who plays Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - in the recently released Thomas McCarthy flick Spotlight. Since both actors have represented a superhero, ABC Radio went on to ask Keaton who would win in a clash between the two. That's when the actor, without a hesitation or what-so-ever, utters this:

"Everyone needs to stop asking the question of who could beat up who. Batman kicks everybody's ass. And if they won't, I will, Bruce Wayne will.

Even though three different actors have already played the Dark Knight on big-screen and the fourth one (Ben Affleck) is set to make his debut next year, Keaton's heart still phonates – "˜I'm BATMAN'!

On the next page – Keaton reveals how Batman is different from Spider-Man!

Unlike Spider-Man, Batman Would Never Cry!

Not only would Batman beat any superhero, including the Hulk, there's other ways in which he is different from other superheroes - seems to be what Michael Keaton believes! During an appearance on the latest episode of Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actor explained the difference between Batman and Spider-Man in a WEIRD way – that's what I would say despite being a Batman fan!

Keaton narrated a visit of his to a store to get his Apple iPhone repaired. On a television screen in the store was playing one of The Amazing Spider-Man movies. Even though the sales clerk seemed to be more interested in watching the movie rather than helping the actor, he/she didn't seem to be recognizing the former Batman. That helped Keaton to watch the movie leaving behind worries of entering into a conversation about his portrayal of Batman.

There came an emotional scene where Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker started crying in front of Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy. The actor asked the sales clerk if the person crying on the scene is Spider-Man. After hearing a response in affirmative, Keaton uttered "˜P****' and added (via ComicBook):

"Batman would never cry.

So, that's how Batman and Spider-Man differ, according to Michael Keaton!
