It looks like Marvel Studios isn’t going to make fans wait too long for more Daredevil. In a bit of good news for viewers, it’s been confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will release on Disney+ in 2026. This comes on the heels of the season 1 finale, which recently premiered on the streaming service. It appears as though Marvel wants to keep Matt Murdock busy now that he’s back in the MCU.
In a recent interview with Screen Rant, Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming Brad Winderbaum was asked if the plan is to release Daredevil: Born Again annually. While that used to be a foregone conclusion, that is far less common in the streaming era. Just look at the three-year gap between seasons of Marvel’s Hit-Monkey. In any case, Winderbaum assured that they have other plans for this show.
“That is the plan. Season 2 will come out next year, and then hopefully season 3 and season infinity after that. I think this world is extremely rich, and there are many stories to be told on the streets of New York.
It’s certainly something very fundamental to Marvel, going back to the earliest days of publishing with Stan and Jack and Steve and the original Marvel bullpen. It’s New York through New York, and the fact that we’re able to shoot here and tell a story about New York made by New Yorkers is just fundamental to the series.”
For what it’s worth, Born Again went through a huge creative overhaul during its first season. It seems that Marvel got the ship headed in the right direction though, with filming already underway on season 2. As for the rest of 2025, Ironheat, Eyes of Wakanda, Marvel Zombies and Wonder Man are all slated to premiere on Disney+ before year’s end.
Here is the synopsis for Daredevil: Born Again.
“In Marvel Television’s Daredevil: Born Again, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.”
The cast for the series also includes Margarita Levieva (Heather Glenn), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Zabryna Guevara (Sheila Rivera), Nikki James (Kirsten Mcduffie), Genneya Walton (BB Urich), Arty Froushan (Buck Cashman), Clark Johnson (Cherry), Michael Gandolfini (Daniel Blake), Ayelet Zurer (Vanessa Fisk) and Jon Bernthal reprising his role as the Punisher.
Daredevil: Born Again is streaming now on Disney+.
