Deadpool teams-up with The Avengers

After years of being on standby, Marvel's comics twisted anti-hero, Deadpool (Wade Wilson) will finally show up on the big screen next year, in February. Deadpool's fans were not very excited about X-Men Origins: Wolverine, so Tim Miller (the director) has a heavy task with this movie.

Meanwhile, the character features in a new comic books series launched by Marvel this month.

Deadpool’s first appearance was in The New Mutants #98 (February 1991)

Deadpool is joining the Avengers in a new comic book called Avengers#0 where he returns from a mission attributed to him by Captain America. So he earns his own “Avengers Priority Identification Card” and full security clearance after completing the mission and he officially becomes an Avenger. Steve Rogers himself hands to Deadpool the ID that includes him in Earth’s Mightiest Heroes crew. (Polygon)

The story of Deadpool in Avengers#0 will also expound the Merc With the Mouth alongside X-men mutant Rogue who has become sick after ingesting a substance that empowers Inhumans but is very toxic for mutants.

This October, Marvel is re-launching its entire universe and the Avengers are in charge. Avengers#0 is an introduction to future comic books Uncanny Avengers, New Avengers, The Ultimates, All-New, All-Different Avengers, A-Force and Squadron Supreme. All are part of “All-New, All-Different” Marvel initiative.

Uncanny Avengers will feature mix mutants (Deadpool, Rogue, Quicksilver) homo sapiens (Spider-Man, Johnny Storm, Steve Rogers) and Inhumans, but we don't know which ones. All-New, All-Different Avengers is starring Captain America, Thor, Iron Man and newcomers like Ms. Marvel and Miles Morales.

In conclusion, Deadpool is an Avenger in the world of comic books, but what about Merc With the Mouth joining Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the world of superhero flicks?

Since Marvel does not own the movie rights to Deadpool, the character might end up dead in the future, as Marvel kills off the characters for whom they do not own the movie rights.

Maybe Marvel will try to grab the rights owned by 20th Century Fox, but this depends on how well Deadpool movie will perform on screen this February.

Deadpool hits the theaters February 12th, 2016.
