Civil War – Scarlet Witch Is A WILDCARD!

The thirteenth installment of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America: Civil War, is less than eight months away from hitting the theaters and we already have a clear idea of the members of Team Captain America and Team Iron Man in the movie. The lineups for the two teams of superheroes were announced few weeks back, but there are characters whose stand in the movie hasn't been confirmed yet - Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man and Hulk.

We actually aren't sure whether Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner will return in the Civil War - we have heard enough contradictory words that we don't want to talk about him until deriving something official. Tom Holland's Spidey is a new character who is set to be INTRODUCED with a cameo role in Civil War - so we don't think "˜Whose side is he on?' is a very significant question.

But Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch, is surely in the movie and neither playing just a cameo - so her side is in the war between Marvel superheroes is something that deserves some speculation.

And the actress playing the super-spooky superhero has helped in triggering the speculations as she claimed in a recent interview with MTV News that her character is a WILD CARD in the movie. According to Elizabeth Olsen:

"They released images of Team Cap and Team Iron Man. She (Scarlet Witch) wasn't there. She's always the wildcard. I like being the wild card.

And that's not all she said! Hit 2 to check out what she has to say about her character in the Civil War!

A Hugely Transformed Scarlet Witch In Civil War!

While talking about the Scarlet Witch that we would see in the third installment of the Captain America series, Elizabeth Olsen described the character as a "˜confused' and "˜conflicted' one in the movie. However, the 26-year-old actress stated that her character has found "˜some people she thinks she connects with' and claimed that she's "˜doing alright' in Civil War.

Does that "˜SOME PEOPLE' include Paul Bettany's Vision? These two characters have had a romantic relationship in the comics - so, is that confusion all about whether to join the side of her love interest which is ironically the side of the one she holds responsible for her parents' death?

We can think about that later, but now let's get to know more about Scarlet Witch from Olsen. According to the actress, we'll get to see a HUGE TRANSFORMATION in the abilities of her female superhero for which she has worked hard with movement coach Jennifer White. She stated:

"It's not a new hand technique per say. We're trying to grow her movement as a whole"¦ Jenny and I have great pride in trying to make this a huge transformation "” the next time we see her "” of her abilities.

Does that mean Olsen's Scarlet Witch will evolve the powers that the character possesses in the comics -the power to rewrite reality? Keep thinking – that's indeed a hot topic for speculating!

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Olsen and Sebastian Stan have both made some similar promises about Captain America: Civil War! Hit 3 to check out in details!

Civil War To Offer Some Brutal Fighting!

The Winter Soldier

The Winter Soldier

Sebastian Stan plays Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier, and he is an officially confirmed member of Team Captain America in Civil War. We Got This Discovered got something discovered from the actor in a recent interview! Stan revealed that the opener of MCU Phase Three will offer "˜some brutal fighting, some serious, serious fighting' that we "˜haven't really seen before' in previous MCU flicks! And he claims he is "˜very proud' to say that!

Stan also promised that we'll get to see a "˜lot of character from everybody' in the Civil War movie. Few days back, while talking to the French website Premiere, Elizabeth Olsen also uttered something similar. She claimed that the movie is "˜darker' than any other MCU flick for it has to deal more with "˜the mindset of humans rather than machines'. We'll get back to what more the Scarlet Witch cast revealed in that interview later in this post.

But before that, let's check out on the next page what the Winter Soldier cast thinks about his taking up the mantle of Captain America in future!

Stan Doesn't Wish To Be Captain America!

In the comics, Bucky Barnes has been found taking up the mantle of Captain America from Steve Rogers. When asked whether he wishes that to happen in the big-screen, Sebastian Stan replied in negative. He claimed that he is happy with what he is doing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at the moment. But he also admitted that if the studio sketches such plans in future, he would take it. Here's what the actor said (via ComicBookMovie):

"Let me tell you, I think about that every day [Laughs]. It’s so not up to me to be honest. I really enjoy my job over there, I’m really happy going to work and doing what I do, I love the character that I have…it’s up to a lot of different things, and whatever Marvel decides, I’m game.

Would you want to see Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes become the next Captain America? Don't know about you, but Stan Lee might not like it - Steve Rogers cast Chris Evans is his favorite after all!

On the following page - confirmation of the main antagonist in Civil War!

Olsen Confirms Baron Zemo As The Main Villain!

Last year we got confirmed that Rush star Daniel Brühl is set to play a villainous role in the 2016 Russo Brothers flick. Earlier this year, we came to know that the Spain-born-German actor will play the Captain America baddie Baron Helmut Zemo in the movie. And now, Elizabeth Olsen confirms that he is indeed the main antagonist in Civil War! In the interview with the French website, the actress said (via KpopStarz):

"[Daniel] Brühl is an incredible actor and he’s playing the main villain in it. And he’s incredible! It’s a movie about people as opposed to robots this time. So it’s darker and it’s allowed to be darker because it gets more in the mindset of humans rather than machines.

Elizabeth Olsen also stated in the interview that Captain America: Civil War is going to be the ‘best‘ MCU flick and she herself is excited to watch the movie. We definitely expect her to watch the flick since we don't expect it (not even in our nightmares) to be a disaster like the latest Fantastic Four reboot (Fant4stic)! If you don’t know it yet, the Invisible Woman cast Kate Mara was totally invisible off-screen on the theaters (she recently admitted even she hasn't watched the movie)!

On the next and final page – a fun stuff, a fan-made trailer for Civil War that features Spider-Man!

Fan-Made Trailer Featuring Spider-Man!

Spider-Man in Civil War: just a cameo

Spider-Man in Civil War.

The very first official trailer of Civil War is still to arrive - we can expect it in a month or so. But for now, there's a fan-made trailer of the movie that is quite enjoyable. It popped out recently on web. It has been created by YouTuber Ultra Sargent.

The most interesting thing about this trailer is that it features Spider-Man. It doesn’t show the face of Peter Parker, since we haven’t received any footage of Tom Holland playing the role. But I assume won’t get to see Holland’s face in the first official trailer of the movie.

The best thing about this one is that it seems pretty balanced and things happening in the fan-made trailer are likely to happen in the original one too. Most of the scenes arrive from Avengers: Age of Ultron, a few from other MCU ventures and some from Sony’s The Amazing Spider-Man movies.

Let's check it out below!

Stay tuned for the latest Civil War updates and don't forget to share your thoughts via comments!
