It seems like Marvel Studios will drop the first official trailer for Captain Marvel and a major announcement about Black Panther 2 this month.
Beyond The Trailer host Grace Randolph has recently tweeted that she has learned from an insider about the arrival of some good stuff from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in September. She doesn't explicitly mention any project but indicates that one involves an Air Force pilot and the other involves a cat, to be more precise, a billion dollar cat we've already met.
According to Randolph, these are going to make this month an amazing one. Check out her tweets below!
#MCU is going to have an amazing September – I got some great insider tea today, but I was sworn to secrecy by all. But it's good stuff about an Air Force pilot and also a cat, both of which I'm sure we'll be talking about VERY soon… pic.twitter.com/0xts7YnATp

Of course, it's a no-brainer that the Air Force pilot that Randolph is alluding to is none other Brie Larson's Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel. There's also no doubt that the cat she is talking about is the one that reigned at the worldwide box office earlier this year: Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa, aka Black Panther.
Captain Marvel is the very next release in the MCU slate, so it seems likely that Marvel will drop the first official trailer for the movie this month. With around six months remaining before the movie hits the theaters, it wouldn't be too early for the studio to kick off its marketing campaign by showing off some footage. Marvel released the first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok almost seven months prior to the movie's theatrical release and the one for Black Panther more than eight months before its arrival in theaters.
The other good stuff that is due in September is most probably a major announcement concerning a second standalone movie for Black Panther. After the original movie made more than $1.3 billion at the global box office, a sequel is surely something that the studio would want to set in motion without further ado.
