Just a couple of hours ago, Captain America: Civil War debuted a second trailer at the Asia Pop Comic Con. And, just like the San Diego Comic Con trailer, this new one was also well received by the audiences - as a matter of fact, all the cheering of the fans convinced the powers that be to play the trailer for a second time too!
Those who have attended say that it was an updated version of the San Diego Comic Con trailer - so what does that mean? Does it mean that we are close to a world-wide release of the trailer? We surely hope so"¦
But enough talk - check out below what happened in the Captain America: Civil War trailer, in the most general lines!
Captain America: Civil War trailer description
As said, these are the general lines of the Captain America: Civil War Asia Pop Comic Con trailer!
Scarlet Johansson's character seems to be the double agent, eventually betraying Captain America and teaming up with Iron Man. The few scenes in which she fights Hawkeye leave her terribly bruised, after his former friend landed a tremendous blow.
Iron Man fights both Captain America and the Winter Soldier - which is a bit too much for him. After apparently getting rid of the former and focusing his attention only on the Captain, he is punched in the face by the latter. Can't wait to see that scene!
Scarlet Witch's allegiance is finally revealed (or is it?), since she and Falcon are both fighting with Vision – this was one of the scenes which was cheered the most.
Ant-Man is responsible for the comic relief - after showing his appreciation for being included in Captain America's team, he touches his pecs in order to see how hard they are.
Another noteworthy appearance is the one of Baron Zemo - though nobody says anything whether he was in costume or not. Lastly, there is also a heartfelt moment, in which Steve and Bucky hug.
On the next page we will talk about what would make avengers go all out against each other!
Captain America: Civil War trailer - a closer look
You can insert the Ken Watanabe gif with let them fight, because Captain America: Civil War seems to be all about that. We still didn't figure what exactly would make them go all out against each other (it cannot be just a simple idea"¦), but, boy, we are excited!
But, as you will see, there are also some other types of scenes, with characters such as General Ross and the mysterious one played by Martin Freeman.
The Captain America: Civil War Asia Pop Comic Con trailer opens with the scene from the African market, which is presumed to be the one to trigger the Registration Act. As described, the scene switches from Redwing (which flies under a van filled with explosives), to Captain America (ordering the attack), and Falcon dropping from atop a building and opening his wings only in the last moment, before hitting the ground.
Crossbones is the leader of the HYDRA soldiers from the market and he fights with Captain America. He throws a sticky grenade, which attaches itself to the shield - Steve throws it away, but still flinches when it explodes in the air. At this moment, Crossbones attacks from the back - but is (apparently) subdued pretty easily. After his gauntlets are torn apart, he produces a blade with which he attacks the hero. In the ensuing fight, his helmet is cracked open.
Black Widow also appears in this opening scene, doing her signature move (the one with which she impressed in Iron Man 2 - the leg wrap).
Next you will find more details about Ant Man, General Ross and Bucky!
Introducing Ross, Martin Freeman and Ant-Man
Voice-over with General Ross, who is talking about vigilantism - and who, when seen, looks a lot thinner than in The Incredible Hulk. As he is talking, a shot of Captain America preventing a helicopter crash is shown - the rest of the team is led through a series of control rooms by Martin Freeman's mysterious character.
Next, the Ant-Man post-credits scene is shown. You surely know all about it - apparently, Marvel will indeed keep it in the film. Bucky seems to remember who he is and he even speaks about Steve's mother. It is yet a second heartfelt moment, since Chris Evans captures perfectly the emotion of a friend reuniting with a long lost friend.
Remember when Tony Stark told Captain America he wants to punch him in his perfect teeth? Well, it doesn't happen during a fight, but in the same building where the team was led by Freeman.
Next we will talk about Tony Stark’s black eye, Vision marrying Scarlet Witch and Paul Rudd!
More Crossbones, Tony Stark and others!
Crossbones is seen in other shots too, except from the one in the market. Thus, he is seen with a new helmet, this one having a visor - and he also appears to pass through the same rooms as the Avengers.
Tony Stark is seen without his helmet, opening an elevator door - and he has a black eye! In another shot, he walks behind Ross - what can this mean? Is Iron Man prepared to follow?
Black Panther is also featured - though in a very quick shot, as his claws come out when grabbing Hawkeye's bow. Vision also appears on several occasion, in one of which he plays chess - he is indeed one weird android and we actually see him marrying Scarlet Witch (hopefully, their fight won't prevent this from happening).
One of the most cheered scenes is in the end, when Paul Rudd appears on screen - he didn't have to do anything and the audiences cheered. This is the scene in which he touches Captain America's pecs.

Captain America and Bucky Barnes at a funeral
"One of the more interesting shots in the trailer was Cap and Bucky walking in snow towards a secret looking base in full superhero attire. The shot was barely 2 seconds but man did Bucky & Cap standing side by side in a mission look [frick]ing good. Holy shit that shot of the funeral scene. You see that scene happening – where they’re carrying the casket in the aisle – and how beautifully framed it was, expect the tears to flow. Considering how we pretty much know whose funeral that is, Cap carrying the casket makes this scene heartbreaking to watch." (via Comic Book Movie).
So what do you think? Will the Captain America: Civil War trailer drop in the next days?
We don't think so, though we certainly want it! It won't be in the next days - but October will certainly bring it!
It did so for Iron Man 3, for Captain America: The Winter Soldier and for Avengers: Age of Ultron.
