Before taking over the SDCC, Warner Bros has released new details about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, via Entertainment Weekly. And we are talking in here about new pics with Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent and Diana Prince, as well as a pretty impressive Lex Luthor (you'll see why). We are talking about details about certain character details, as well as about some scenes.

So, if you don't want to be spoiled, you'd better shut down the internet. In the following week it is expected for more details to be revealed about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince

The first, and most interesting, pic released for Batman v Superman is the one with Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince. No, not their superhero alter-egos. They stay pretty close to each other, don't they?

This is the first time we've seen Gal Gadot as Diana Prince and this pic (about which EW reports that is taken at a high society gala) is quite revealing. They stay pretty close to each other, which seems to suggest that they actually know each other's secret identities.

Furthermore, one rumor suggests that they are even flirting in here, though we don't know how much truth is in this statement. The rumor goes that Wonder Woman will act as an ambassador of Themyscira in Batman v Superman and now is out to see what will happen after the reveal of Superman and after Metropolis was destroyed.

Evidently, this kind of closeness also suggests that the Kryptonian is in fact a rookie - if we are to believe that Batman and Wonder Woman already know each other, if we are to believe the rumors about Flash and Aquaman being held captive by Lex Luthor, than the Man of Steel might just be the most powerful newcomer, who disturbed the balance between the powers of the world.

Of course, there are some other pics released from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, in which Bruce Wayne appears as the Dark Knight. There is the iconic pic with him beside the Bat Signal in the rain. Sure enough, it doesn't bring anything new. But it still reminds us of what is to come.

Then there is another pic with Bruce Wayne this time, with Ben Affleck receiving indications from Zack Snyder, with what seems to be a crushed bus behind them. Make what you want from this, but it certainly seems as if this is Metropolis, after Zod attempted to conquer it.

And this leads us to another rumor, which said that Bruce Wayne will be involved, in some way, in the reconstruction of Metropolis, in here visiting the site. Sure enough, he will have a hidden agenda. But his official business in Metropolis will certainly lead him to some sort of meeting/confrontation with Lex Luthor.

EW didn't reveal just new pics, but also new details about the characters themselves. And these details also concern the Caped Crusader during the events of Batman v Superman.

According to Ben Affleck, this new version of the Dark Knight is, most likely, at the end of his run. In other words, he is older and tired about this world, which never seems to be healed. This Bruce Wayne has gray streaks of hair and seems less and less interested about what happens in the world.

Furthermore, a short description of the Wayne Manor is also provided. And it isn't flashy at all: it is said to have a desolate exterior, overtaken by weeds. Furthermore, it is in need of some serious repairs and facelifts, since the years of neglect have taken their toll.

Of course, Bruce Wayne does have a secret agenda, as said before. And we do know that, because he is taken out from his seclusion by the arrival of Superman - so he does care. And he sees the Man of Steel as Batman's last chance to make a comeback and prove himself as a leader.

This has to be a flashback. The first image of Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice showed him completely bald. In this new image, he sports quite the locks. Of course, this may as well be a wig, as we've seen Lex Luthor wear in previous films. But we doubt it will be so.

Plus, Zack Snyder has a thing about flashbacks. So why wouldn't Lex Luthor have one in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?

Batman v Superman main event

Quite a while ago, Zack Snyder said that having the Batman taller than Superman in Batman v Superman is a great thing, because it will make the most powerful being in the world look up to a simple mortal.

This difference in height isn't too visible, however. A new pic has surfaced, with Batman and Superman unbearably close to each other. Batman seems to say something, while Superman seems to understand what he's saying (this might be a joke, since we all know that Christian Bale was almost incomprehensible when he talked as the Batman). Which is a good thing.

As far as the Batman's suit is concerned, it will resemble very much the one from the iconic The Dark Knight Returns. But there is a twist in here.

When brainstorming for Man of Steel, Zack Snyder pitched an idea to Christopher Nolan, concerning an end credits scene. During it, a crate full of kryptonite was being delivered to the Wayne Manor. Obviously, it didn't stick. However, kryptonite will play an important part in the clash of the superheroes from Batman v Superman.

According to the same source, the mech suit will be reinforced in order to withstand the blows coming from the Man of Steel, while also augmenting Batman's strength. Furthermore, it will be lined with kryptonite - how else could Batman stand a chance against Superman?

And this is the most obvious deviation from the comics, since on the Dark Knight Returns it was Green Arrow that delivered the kryptonite on an arrow, weakening the Man of Steel.

San Diego Comic Con

Without Marvel, DC will certainly rule this year's SDCC, with two anticipated comic book adaptations lined for next year: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad. It is expected for more information to be released during this event, on the 11^th of July, between 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM.

So looking forward to this date, when we will most likely see a first teaser (or just a clip) for Suicide Squad. More importantly, we're looking forward for this date, since the rumor is that a new trailer will be released for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
