Apparently, we shouldn't expect the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War to arrive anytime soon. A Marvel Studios boss recently commented that it isn't even finished yet.
In July, director Joe Russo suggested that we’d see a teaser trailer for the May 4, 2018 release "very soon". But almost three months have passed with no trailer. The studio screened footage at the D23 Expo and San Diego Comic-Con, but never released any of it online. Fans are already pretty impatient to see the trailer, as seen in the following video!
This hysterical video finally prompted a tweeted response from Marvel co-president Louis D'Esposito, although it may not make the fans feel any better:
All I can say is that I love it, and I hope all you feel the same. It's currently being finished, so it's not ready yet. https://t.co/AIKdY5sgkF
"” Louis D’Esposito (@louisde2) October 8, 2017
D'Esposito’s remark about loving the trailer is perhaps the only comforting part of his tweet. But a new batch of promo art on display at a Disney event in Russia might help matters a little bit. It includes a new look at Scarlett Johansson's blond Black Widow, Chris Evans' bearded Captain America, Chris Hemsworth's super-charged Thor and Tom Holland's updated Spider-Man.
The art pieces also feature Yondu (Michael Rooker) and The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton), who are actually already dead. It’s likely that they were included because the event celebrates the Marvel Cinematic Universe in its entirety, so we don’t feel that they’ll be raised from the dead!
