Avengers: Infinity War Director Teases Trailer, Plus New Steve Rogers Rumor!

Avengers: Infinity War director teases the arrival of trailer while new rumor concerning Steve Rogers surfaces on web!

Attendees at Disney’s D23 Expo had the opportunity to screen a new Avengers: Infinity War trailer. However, we’ve had to settle for a footage description shared by those who saw it, as the trailer hasn’t turned up online yet. Whether we’ll see that particular trailer or a different version is still unclear, but something is definitely coming soon.

Joe Russo, who’s directing the May 4, 2018 release with his brother, confirmed during an interview with Good Morning America that a trailer will soon be available online:

Soon. I'll say soon. We are hard at work on a trailer. I don't wanna spoil it for them. But, you know, stay tuned, and you're gonna see an Infinity War teaser very soon.

The interviewer asked if we’d have to wait for days, weeks, or months to see the trailer. Russo just laughed and said, "Can't say."

That may not be an earth-shattering reveal, but MCU Exchange recently came up with an interesting scoop on Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). According to the website, Rogers has no interest in taking back his shield, which he left behind after his encounter with Iron Man in Captain America: Civil War. Apparently he’s cast aside the Captain America mantle forever.

Evans' character will have a brand new alias in Avengers: Infinity War, but it’s actually one that he briefly adopted in the pages of Marvel Comics during the 1970s. Yes, he’ll fight Thanos and his army of alien invaders as Nomad.

While Rogers’ new costume won't resemble the one the character wore in the comics, it will pay homage to the time he spent as Nomad. In the D23 Expo trailer, the character has longer hair and a full beard, similar to how he looked in Dimension Z.

This rumor actually falls in line with something Joe Russo said last August. He explained that when Rogers dropped his shield in the May 6, 2016 release, he was "letting go" of his Captain America identity. And Mark Ruffalo apparently spilled the beans about the deaths of major characters in Avengers: Infinity War in a recent interview, so we wonder whether Rogers will ever return as Cap in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
