Since Justice League hasn’t performed as well as expected, fans are pinning their hopes on 2018’s sole DC release, Aquaman, to save the day. It worked with Wonder Woman; it has to work with Aquaman!
The positive response to the CineEurope screening of the first Aquaman trailer indicated that director James Wan has once again managed to set the DCEU back on course. The trailer reportedly presented a great mix of traditional action, VFX, and humor. In addition, several posts noted that it was brighter in comparison to previous DCEU offerings.
The first Aquaman trailer should be available to the public in the near future. But in the meantime, Entertainment Weekly recently devoted two cover to main characters Aquaman and Mera. Plus, one of the covers features Nicole Kidman in character as Queen Atlanna.

However, the movie’s main focus will be on Arthur Curry’s adversarial relationship with primary villain King Orm.
He's a part-time mercenary/full-time pirate who in his suit will look like some crazy alien from outer space. Black Manta is a really interesting character who is somehow factored into this story, but our main story is about Jason and Patrick (via CBM).
