James Wan on Aquaman Trailer Debut; Plus New Character Bios!

After its recent debut at CineEurope, the first Aquaman trailer should become available to the general public in the very near future. Based on the audience’s positive response to the trailer’s combination of action, VFX, and humor, it’s safe to say that the movie’s sure to be a hit.

Most recently, director James Wan confirmed via Twitter that those attending the Aquaman presentation at San Diego ComicCon 2018 will have the opportunity to view the trailer for themselves. His tweet was accompanied by a shot of the film’s new logo:

We’re fairly certain that Aquaman is going to be the highlight of 2018’s SDCC. With the addition of Wonder Woman 1984 and Shazam!, we can certainly expect that ComicCon 2018 will be a rousing success.

You may have heard that The Hollywood Reporter recently published the first pics of the stars of Aquaman, including Black Manta and King Orm. In addition, we just learned that the same issue also features several character bios. Check them out here, via CBM:

King Orm: Ruler of Atlantis and Arthur Curry’s half-brother, a skilled fighter who seeks to unite the Seven Kingdoms in a war against the surface world.

Mera: A disciplined Xebel warrior princess with the water-controlling power of hydrokinesis; mentored by Atlanna and groomed to become queen.

Black Manta: A mysterious and cunning human high-seas pirate and mercenary with a flair for creating deadly technological innovations.

Queen Atlanna: The noble Antlantean mother of Arthur Curry and King Orm, who was married to Orm’s father Orvax, yet once fell in love with a surface dweller.

Vulko: Chief Counselor to the throne of Atlantis, he’s secretly been a mentor to Arthur Curry.
