Days of Future Past proved to the world that X-Men franchise has the potential to have as big an impact on the box-office as a Marvel Cinematic Universe or DC/Warner Bros venture can have. It ended up being one of the biggest hits of 2014. Its highly anticipated sequel, X-Men: Apocalypse, is set to hit the theaters next year. It appears to be one of the largest ensembles ever put together in an X-Men Universe movie as we've been constantly hearing new names being added to the roaster.
That's something historical already, but now from what Simon Kinberg – the spearhead in the development of X-Men Universe – says, it seems like the movie aims at changing history in a great way! Recently, while talking to IGN, Kinberg states:
"The aftermath of Apocalypse is something that will impact really the course of history in the world, much the same way the end of Days of Future Past did. From 1973 forward, the world knew about mutants. A mutant took a football stadium and dropped it on the White House. That's not the history we were raised on. So, instead of ignoring it, all of the movies that come after that in the timeline acknowledge it and embrace it, and it becomes part of the complicated reality of "˜X-Men' history on film."
Apocalypse Tie-In With Deadpool & Gambit!
The writer-producer suggests that each of the three upcoming ventures of the universe - the other two being Deadpool and Gambit - will have connections with each other. Kinberg says, "You know, because I'm a fanboy, and the people that make these movies"¦ all of us like having little Easter eggs. Little winks from movie to movie and I think for hardcore fans they will see that in each of the films."

Kinberg Loves Jackman As Wolverine, But!
Simon Kinberg was also asked if the upcoming X-Men venture will reveal what Mystique did with Hugh Jackman's character following the end of Days of Future Past, and also whether or not Wolverine 3 is going to be the last time we will see Jackman playing the mutant. But as expected, he pronounced a "˜no comment' in reply. However, he brought an end to the interview saying that he loves the Aussie actor as Wolverine.
