Captain America: New World Order Anthony Mackie Wants To Top His Own “Legendary Elevator Scene”

Marvel is back again with yet another superhero film Captain America: New World Order based on the Marvel Comics superhero with the same title. This one being the 35th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to release on May 3, 2024. In one of the fight scenes, Mackie wishes to top the legendary elevator scene from The Winter Soldier. In a recent interview, he expressed,

I want a fight scene that rivals Chris Evans’ fight scene in the elevator [in 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Solider] when he fought like 10 dudes in the elevator. That was a bad a** scene. The first time I saw that, I was like, ‘That’s crazy.’ So I just want a fight scene that rivals that.”

This particular scene is one of Evans’ most memorable ones throughout his time in the MCU. Just when Steve Rogers realizes that he has been surrounded by a group of HYDRA agents in a tightly confined space, he takes them down single-handedly. Before doing that, he says the epic one-liner: “Before we get started, does anyone wanna get out?”

How cool is that? Mackie is so excited to top this legendary scene that he is all set to jump into action on an elevated level. There have been preparations to outdo the previous scene and make this a worthy one. As history has it, Anthony Mackie has watched Chris Evans do his jumps, kicks, fights, and most importantly a shield to surpass the deadliest battles. Now, Anthony’s official next Captain America is Sam Wilson who would be appearing on the big screen to bring a dramatic film on board.

He also revealed that “I want an epic battle scene that could go toe-to-toe with his predecessors in the upcoming Marvel movie, which is currently in pre-production and set to start shooting next year.” Since New Order is set to release next year, there is a chance Mackie is going to fulfill his wish of creating a humungous scene for his satiety and of course, the fans.

Captain America: New World Orders hits theaters on May 3, 2024. Don’t give it a miss!
