Anthony Mackie shared an Avengers: Infinity War clip that featured an altercation involving Black Widow, Captain America, and Falcon against Black Order members Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight. Even more recently an extended version of the same clip popped up online.
The new clip has just a few seconds of new footage, but it allows the viewer to view the fight scene from a fresh perspective. The original clip seemed to indicate that all it took to bring down Corvus Glaive was a single kick from Black Widow, but that didn't sit well with many fans in light of the character’s reputation for endurance and invulnerability.
The new footage demonstrates that it took more than a kick from a female human with no superpowers to drain the invincible extraterrestrial being’s unlimited energy. Prior to delivering that mighty kick, Black Widow stabbed him in the stomach with Proxima Midnight's spear.
We’ll find out how Scarlett Johansson's character came to have the spear, but it makes sense that Corvus Glaive was unable to rise after she stabbed him with it. Thanos forged it from a sun trapped in distorted space-time, so it’s no ordinary spear.
The extended Infinity War clip provides us with our best look at Corvus Glaive. The CGI supervillain’s voice is similar to Peter Dinklage’s, but there's no hint of the actor in his outward appearance. Remember that it's only a matter of time before the cat is out of the bag and we’re certain who’s playing the character.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth – and existence itself – has never been more uncertain.
