Avengers: Infinity War will roll into theaters in just under six months, and we’re still waiting to see an official trailer. But there’s good news! Marvel Studios finally kicked off its marketing campaign for the movie by offering us an official first look at some of its cast members.
Seventeen of the characters in the upcoming Russo Brothers flick are featured on four brand new Vanity Fair covers. The first has Iron Man, Black Widow, Falcon, and Thor. Both Scarlett Johansson and Anthony Mackie's characters have changed a bit since we last saw them, as Black Widow is now a blonde and Falcon is sporting a beard.
Thor: Ragnarok has been in theaters for three weeks, but Marvel is still reluctant to spoil any details in regard to the God of Thunder's appearance. So it’s likely that Chris Hemsworth's character will look a little different in Avengers: Infinity War in comparison to this cover shot.
The second cover brings together Captain America, Vision, Wasp, War Machine, and Hawkeye. Jeremy Renner's character shows off his new haircut, but we were surprised to see that Chris Evans' shield and the silver star and stripes on his suit are still intact. In addition, his beard is no longer in evidence.
The third cover includes Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts. Although her appearance in Infinity War has yet to be confirmed, she was spotted on the set. The photo also includes Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange and Tom Holland as Spider-Man.
The final cover has Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk.
Vanity Fair also released seven portraits of the above-mentioned characters, plus Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), and Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan). Check them out!
