Avengers 4: First Look at Tony Stark’s New Tech

Tony Stark’s arc technology improves with each movie, so it’s no surprise that the as yet untitled fourth Avengers movie will see him push the technology even further. And it appears that the most recent pic from the Avengers 4 set gives away some interesting details about Avengers: Infinity War.

We’re still waiting for the official release of the trailer shown at the D23 Expo and San Diego Comic Con International, but we know that it hinted that Thanos will reveal the true extent of his power in the movie. The Mad Titan is able to hurl planets, giant asteroids, and smaller moons, so we can expect to see him defeat the Avengers. Since Iron Man is the most resourceful of the lot, he might be the one who fares the worst.

Returning to Avengers 4, the most recent on-set pics reveal that Tony Stark has indeed improved the arc reactor that powers his suits. Compared with the previous reactors, it almost looks like it could be alien in origin. Check it out below!

The consensus online is that Rocket Raccoon helped Tony Stark build the arc reactor. After the Infinity War defeat, it would make sense for Iron Man to seek out new sources for powerful tech. With the arrival of the Guardians of the Galaxy, there will be plenty of highly advanced tech available for Stark to use as he retrofits his existing equipment.

The second pic from the set reveals a new device that also appears to be based on alien tech. It’s a watch similar to the one Tony Stark revealed as he fought with Bucky Barnes in Captain America: Civil War. The difference is that the new watch has a countdown feature. But a countdown to what? Well, that’s the big question.

Avengers: Infinity War will hit theaters on May 4, 2018 and Avengers 4 will follow on May 3, 2019, so it will be a while before we have a definitive answer.
