It's safe to say that the rumor that Deadpool would cameo in Logan was more than welcomed by the fans, although it didn't make any sense to some of us, given the tone of the final Wolverine flick. Even so, nobody can say that seeing this new version of the Merc with a Mouth teaming up with the Raging Mutant isn't a fanboy's dream. This is most likely the reason why, as soon as the cameo rumor was debunked, another popped up, saying that a Deadpool/Wolverine movie would happen sometime soon.
Talking about this possible movie, Ryan Reynolds did say that he has ideas for a couple more Deadpool films, including one that features Wolverine - even though this might be news to Hugh Jackman. Variety reports that Reynolds said:
I would love to play Deadpool for as long as they would let me play Deadpool. We have outlines and stories for a number of different films.
The article continues:
He envisions a standalone movie with Deadpool and Wolverine "” although that's news to Jackman"¦Reynolds isn't giving up. "I have no idea if I can change his mind," he says. "It's the audience: I would exclusively exploit that relationship to get Hugh back for another one.”
It’s pretty clear that Hugh Jackman doesn't know whether he’d ever agree to such a project. Given the tagline for Logan (One Last Time), it’s easy to understand why:
I'm hesitating, because I could totally see how that's the perfect fit. But the timing may be wrong.
As far as we’re concerned, maybe it would be better if this movie didn't happen. Logan will have more weight than we believed, being indeed Hugh Jackman's swan song as Wolverine.
What do you think?
