This year's Doctor Strange might be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe installment to explore sorcery comprehensively, but Loki has been displaying his magical powers to us since 2011. With his magical powers, he's been a threat to not just his brother Thor, but to the entire Avengers team.
Tom Hiddleston, the actor who plays the God of Mischief, is well aware of the arrival of Benedict Cumberbatch's Sorcerer Supreme in the MCU. And he wants Loki to face Doctor Strange someday! Here's what he says while speaking to the Daily News:
In some hypothetical world, I don't quite know when, for Loki and Dr. Strange to share the same frame would be very exciting indeed.
And thinks so not only because both characters have magical powers, but also due to the fact that Cumberbatch is "an old friend". The two had worked together in Steven Spielberg's 2011 flick War Horse. Hiddleston adds:
So I would think it would be interesting to see who would get the upperhand.
It would obviously be exciting for us, the fans, to see Loki take on Doctor Strange. Any guess on who would win if that happens?
Tom Hiddleston knows how many more times he will play Loki!
When he was asked before about his future in the MCU, Tom Hiddleston had always said that he doesn't have an idea about it. But now, during the interview, he claims that he knows how many more times he would play the character. However, he won't let it slip! Here's why:
Truthfully, I do actually know at the moment how many more times I'm going to play Loki, but I'm not going to tell you. It's not personal it's just keeping it fresh for all paying customers to enjoy their films.
The actor also points out that since he's the God of Mischief, it is his "predisposition to play games"!
