Miller and Phil, in a recent interview, declared that they are going to salute every era of Batman filmmaking through Lego Batman movie using iterations from each of the eras. They added that there are forty versions of Batman's origin story alone which means there are lots of interpretations the superhero and that they have ample scope to play with there. What this means is that you will be have Bob Kane's Golden Age Era Batman, Adam West's Batman of 1960s, Alan Moore and Frank Miller's Batman of 1980s, Tim Burton's Batman of early 1990s, Joel Schumacher's Batman of late 1990s and Christopher Nolan's 21st century Batman, all captured in the same frame!
Lego To Follow Avengers Style
Miller and Phil also stated that their future plans have been set in similar way to the Avengers. Ninjago will be released in 2016, followed by Lego Batman in 2017, and the two will be fused together in The Lego Movie 2 in 2018, just similar to what Marvel did to their Avengers' superheroes.
