Invincible Season 5 Confirmed For 2027 Release

Invincible season 4

Amazon isn’t going to make fans wait too long for more Invincible. The animated series based on the beloved Robert Kirkman comic book hasn’t even released season 4 yet, with new episodes coming next week. However, Prime Video has already renewed the show for season 5. What’s more, the release window has already been confirmed. Essentially, it’s going to return in almost exactly a year.

According to Discussing Film, Invincible season 5 will release sometime between February and April 2027. In the streaming era, long waits between seasons of shows has become increasingly common. Invincible season 1 was released in 2021, but season 2 didn’t arrive until 2023. For that reason, hearing that the wait for the next season will only be about a year is undoubtedly welcome news.

Here is the synopsis for Invincible season 4.

“While the world recovers from catastrophe, a changed Mark fights to protect his home and the people he loves, setting him on a collision course with a threat that could alter the fate of humanity forever. With the stakes and threats raised even higher this season, Invincible, Atom Eve (Jacobs), and the Guardians of the Globe must save the world.”

What the future holds beyond season 5 remains to be seen. Amazon is coming to the end of some of its biggest shows. The Boys season 5 will bring the show to an end this year. While there are still spin-offs in that universe, that’s a big one for the company to let go of. For that reason, so long as there’s more story to tell, keeping this animated hit on the air for a while longer only makes sense.

The series is led by Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson/Invincible, Sandra Oh as Debbie Grayson and J.K. Simmons as Nolan Grayson/Omni Man. Gillian Jacobs (Atom Eve), Seth Rogen (Allen), Walton Goggins (Cecil Stedman), Lee Pace (Thragg), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Conquest), Jason Mantzoukas (Rex Splode), Zazie Beetz (Amber Bennett), Grey DeLisle (Shrinking Rae), also star. Zachary Quinto (Robot), Chris Diamantopoulos, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Ben Schwartz, Clancy Brown, Jay Pharoah, Mark Hamill, Matthew Rhys and Danai Gurira provide additional voices and round out the voice cast.

The Walking Dead creator Kirkman is also on board as an executive producer alongside David Alpert, Simon Racioppa, Margaret M. Dean, Catherine Winder, Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Helen Leigh and Cory Walker also serve as co-executive producers.

Invincible season 4 premieres on Amazon on March 18.
