Jeremy Irons Thinks Batman v Superman was Massively Muddled!

Jeremy Irons thinks Batman v Superman deserved the kicking it got from the critics!

Whether Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was a good movie or not is a question that has divided superhero movie fandom. While many say that the Zack Snyder flick deserved the poor reviews it collected from the critics, many others think that it wasn't that bad.

But according to Jeremy Irons, the actor who portrayed Alfred Pennyworth in Batman v Superman, the movie deserved the kicking it got. He, too, thinks that the March 25 release was very confusing. While speaking to Daily Mail, the actor states:

Deservedly so. I mean it took £800 million, so the kicking didn't matter but it was sort of overstuffed"¦It was very muddled.

Apparently, there's either a mistake or a misinterpretation about the "£800 million" part. If we convert that sum, it would be around $1.2 billion. Surely Batman v Superman didn't earn that much!?

Jeremy Irons has already been confirmed to reprise his role in Justice League: Part One. And the actor believes that movie won't be overstuffed or muddled. He says:

I think the next one will be simpler. The script is certainly a lot smaller, it's more linear.

We already know that Warner Bros is committed to a Batman standalone movie with Ben Affleck as the writer, director, and titular superhero. There has never been a Batman movie that doesn't feature Alfred Pennyworth.

So, we were pretty sure about Jeremy Irons reprising the role of Alfred in the Caped Crusader's upcoming standalone venture. And now, he’s confirmed that, too:

I'm tied into The Batman at the minute [the next installment, Justice League Part One, is due next year], which is nice because it's a bit of income"¦

Wait"¦did he just confirm the title of the movie? We've been hearing rumors about the movie being titled The Batman but hadn’t had any confirmation on it. This seems like strong evidence supporting the rumor!
