PSA: The Superman & Lois Premiere is Streaming Now for Free

Superman & Lois, the latest edition to the ArrowVerse, has arrived. The show premiered on The CW with a two-hour debut. For those who missed out, the network has made the pilot available to stream for free online right now. All you need to do is head on over to The CW’s website and stream away

Given the super-sized first episode, this is, more or less, going to play like a movie. Tyler Hoechlin, who first played Clark Kent in Supergirl, is finally getting the opportunity to take the spotlight. This marks the first time that Superman has headlined a live-action show in years, with Smallville technically being the last time. Though it’s been even longer since the superhero’s name was used in the title of a show, dating back to Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman in the 90s. Joining Hoeclin is Elizabeth Tulloch, who has portrayed Lois Lane in the ArrowVerse several times in the past.

Here is the synopsis for Superman & Lois

“In SUPERMAN & LOIS, after years of facing megalomaniacal supervillains, monsters wreaking havoc on Metropolis, and alien invaders intent on wiping out the human race, the world’s most famous superhero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin, ‘Teen Wolf’) and comic books’ most famous journalist, Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch, ‘Grimm’), come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever – dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today’s society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois must also concern themselves with whether or not their sons Jonathan (Jordan Elsass, ‘Little Fires Everywhere’) and  Jordan (Alexander Garfin, ‘The Peanuts Movie’) could inherit their father’s Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older.”

Critics and audiences alike have responded kindly to the show thus far. It currently holds an 85 percent approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. The audience rating is right in the same ballpark at 84 percent. That makes for a nice start.

The cast includes Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane, Jordan Elsass as Jonathan Kent, Alexander Garfin as Jordan Kent, Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing, Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cushing, Wolé Parks as The Stranger, Adam Rayner as Morgan Edge with Dylan Walsh as General Samuel Lane and Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang Cushing.

Greg Berlanti and Todd Helbing, who serve as executive producers of the series with Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns, developed the series. Todd Helbing wrote the screenplay for the first episode, based on a story by Greg Berlanti and Todd Helbing. Lee Toland Krieger executive produced and directed the first episode.

Superman & Lois airs Tuesdays on The CW.
