Preacher: Season 2 Trailer

Preacher debuted on AMC last summer. This was a show that many believed wouldn’t work, but it became a fan favorite with its first episode, due to the unique approach the creative team took when they adapted the graphic novel. Although the first season didn't take too much liberty in translating the main characters to the small screen, the overall story was altered. But it worked for the better, and the show’s first season earned only love from the critics.

Of course, some fans might feel that the show could have been better. But what comic book adaptation can satisfy everybody at once?

Obviously, we’re more than excited to see what happens to Jesse Custer, Tulip O'Hare, and Cassidy after they leave the doomed small town of Annville. If the first season can be viewed as an origin story for these characters, the true fun can begin now that we’re acquainted with them.

Check out the first teaser-trailer for Preacher's second season below!

And, in case you missed them, check out the official photos released before the teaser's debut (via CBM)!

Of course, the teaser doesn't say much about the story beyond what we already knew when the first season ended. The characters are road-tripping through Texas in search of God. But it will be a fun, weird, and graphic trip that has every chance of making the second season of Preacher even more successful than the first.

The teaser’s release came with another announcement: The premiere date has been pushed back a week, to the 25th of June.

So what do you think? Will you tune in to see what Jesse, Tulip, and Cassidy will do next?
