Season 12 of Supernatural is on its way, and Bob Singer promises a return to the show’s roots. After facing all possible creatures, confronting the apocalypse and God himself, the Winchester brothers will go back to chasing The Monster of the Week.
Supernatural Season 12 will go back to its roots, raising speculations that fans may get to see the return of Monster of the Week. Notably, the previous seasons only featured one or two major villains.
Misha Collins, who portrays the fan-favorite angel Castiel, was quoted telling Nerdist that Supernatural Season 12 will get back to its roots. With this statement, fans are expecting to see more of the stand-alone episodes, which were featured in the early seasons of the series.
“It’s going to feel a lot like earlier seasons of the show, which I’m excited about,” Collins described Supernatural Season 12. “And the same really goes for my character in particular.” (Entertainment Weekly)
New member of the cast to play a “washed-up aging rock star” Lucifer
Producers Bob Singer and Andrew Dabb bring in a new face among the supernatural creatures, and that is rock star Rick Springfield, who will serve as the new vessel of Lucifer.
As Brian Singer revealed, this is the first vessel that Lucifer will try, among many others.
“Lucifer is going to try out different vessels and the first one he feels comfortable in is a rock star named Vince Vicente,” Singer revealed. “We have cast that role.”
“Rick Springfield is going to be the new Satan,” said Speight at San Diego Comic-Con.
Andrew Dabb adds: “Lucifer got what he wanted last season, his face-to-face with God [Rob Benedict]. Now he’s out in the world. We see Lucifer on vacation, and he wants to have fun. This is a real role.”
If you are a fan of the Supernatural series, you can get excited about season 12, seems like it will be worth seeing.
